Please be informed about the repair works of the instrument Niton XL5 SN X501162.
We successfully avoided replacing any costly or major parts, and the unit is now functioning perfectly.
The issues were primarily related to contacts and control, which have been resolved.
We expect to have it ready to ship back to you by the end of this week.
The necessary procedures and parts are as follows:
- * Instrument reconstruction and contacts cleaning
- * Memory module replacement
- * Quality check of modes: Mining (M), Soils (D)
Cost of repair works: 890,00 EUR without VAT

Apologies for the delayed response, as Milda is currently out of the office.
I want to assure you that we are actively working on your instrument, and it is being prioritized. Due to the complexity of the case, potentially caused by a shock to the instrument, the process is taking longer than usual.
We expect to resolve the hardware issues by next week, after which we will send you the repair quote. Sometimes hardware work must be done before issuing a quote to ensure that all problems are fully addressed.
If you confirm the repair, we will proceed with calibration.
The entire process should be completed in approximately two weeks from now.

Our XRF has been in the repair for more than two months for now. Could you explain, what are the issues with the device? Also, we haven’t got a repair offer, so I assume it is still in a diagnostics stage.

Hello,
We have had some problems with the device after having small impact.
Sometimes when turning on the XRF we get the operation system „penguin“ on the screen that only goes away when the internal battery gets empty.
Since we are going to have quite importand project in September-October, we would like to send the device for service to check if you can detect any hardware problems and fix them.
The errors don’t seem to be related to the X-ray tube or the detector because the analysis results are ok.
