Dear Madam/Sir,

1. I wish to refer to our earlier invitation (Ref: EUR/NAT 25-0137.TEC) and would like to inform you of an important change regarding the upcoming Sixteenth Meeting of the ICAO EUR Search and Rescue Task Force (EUR SAR TF/16) and the Joint ICAO EUR/NAT and ACAO Search and Rescue Workshop.

2. Due to unforeseen logistical challenges, the events have been relocated to the ICAO EUR/NAT Office in Paris, France, and will now take place from 19 to 21 November 2025. We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding and flexibility.

3. EUR SAR TF/16 will convene on 19 November 2025 and will focus on advancing the search and rescue related outcomes of the Sixth Meeting of the European Aviation System Planning Group (EASPG/06).

4. The joint SAR Workshop will take place from 20 to 21 November 2025, with the aim of enhancing SAR safety oversight capabilities through the sharing of best practices and experiences. The workshop will include discussions on coordination and cooperation with neighbouring States during SAR operations, including the development and implementation of regional SAR plans, procedures, and regional agreements. The workshop will also discuss training programmes for SAR inspectors, including implementation challenges and solutions. Updates on the Global Aeronautical Distress and Safety System (GADSS) and Location of an Aircraft in Distress Repository (LADR) will also be provided during the workshop.
