Dear Commissioner Johansson, dear Ministers,
On behalf of a broad transport coalition, representing the majority of transport and mobility infrastructure
stakeholders impacted by the Entry/Exit System (EES), we are hereby sharing with you the attached joint
statement on the urgent action needed from the European Commission and Member States ahead of the
system's implementation.
In the attached document, we detail our concerns about several unresolved issues critical to the effective
implementation of the EES that must be addressed to ensure a smooth and safe experience for travellers
entering the Schengen area at the time of launch.
We respectfully ask to be kept informed of follow-up actions on the topic and we remain at your disposal for
any industry contribution that may be useful towards reaching the prompt and tangible progress needed for
addressing this important issue.
Yours sincerely,
Sebastian Loerke
